Study On The Protection Of Enthic Cultures Under The Background Of Tourism Development

The enthic cultures in monority areas have become key project of development because of their unique customs. But how to promote the coordinated development of tourism development and the protection of enthic culture and how to bring the development of community through tourism development have been a difficulty in the development of enthic culture and tourism all the time. Shemi Lake Village in Laifeng County, as an important reservation for Tujia hand-swing dance, has become a project of development. The governments at different levels lay emphasis on investment and policy guidance. Tujia hand-swing dance, as the typical representation of Tujia culture, has become gradually an item of outside propagangda and performance under the rapid development of tourism economy. In this process, changes have taken place both in community and in enthic culture more or less.Under the guidance of the theory"Consciousness of Culture"and"Community Participation"this paper analyses the the changes of nationality position, nationality economy and nationality culture in the process of development of Shemi Lake Village in Laifeng County and discusses the bidirectional function of tourism development upon the enthic culture based on field trip. This paper is consist of introduction, text and conclusion. The Introduction includes four parts: the study backgropund, significance of the topic, research documents summary, the choice of individual case position and the resources of reference materials. Text is divided into four parts. The first tells the condition of individual case position, introduces the natural ,social and historical environment of the individual case position, diplaying its important ethic culteral resources. The second focuses on community, analysing the changes of community that tourism development has brought which centers on three aspects: ethnic identity, economy and culture. The third part of the text from the view of hand-swing dance makes analasis of the display and impact of tourism development on hand-swing dance. The research into the impact starts from the commercialization, performance and passivity. The fourth part of this paper is the Conclusion. Through the study of this topic writer finds that both the development of Shemi Lake Village and the inheritance of hand-swing dance as well as its development face troubles, which are caused by too stronger force of goverment'intervention into tourism development.Unilateral powerful promotion by government has not yet been accepted by the people of different classes. All kinds of forces must be considered in the tourism development of enthic culture, especially the role of community in such process.
