This research conducts experiments to investigate existence and changeability of stereotypes to migrant workers. The entire research consists of three parts.Experiment 1 discusses about the stereotype between migrant workers and citizens. By free association questionnaire and Semantic Differential Scale, total 156 undergraduate students were tested. The results show the existence of negative stereotype to migrant workers. The image of the citizens is significantly better than of the migrant workers.Experient 2 uses Implicit Association Test(IAT) as the assessment tool to investigate the existence of implicit stereotype to migrant workers. The results show that 96 undergraduate students have implicit stereotype to migrant workers. The stereotype show no relationship with the students' sex or their growing place. But the students whose growing place is city have more negative stereotype to migrant workers. Furthermore, there is no relationship between implicit and explicit stereotype to migrant workers.Experiment 3 discusses the changeability of the stereotype to migrant workers.71 undergraduate students were intervened by the subliminal Evaluative Conditioning(EC) during IAT test. The results show that EC can change the implicit stereotype to migrant workers. EC is not only effective to enhance the postive stereotype, but also effective to weaken or reverse the negative stereotype.
