Although significantly promoting the development of implicit attitude, Implicit Association Test(IAT) was questioned by some researchers after its application in more and more different fields. Meanwhile Stereotypic Explanatory Bias(SEB), a new method which means when one is more likely to provide explanations for behaviors that are inconsistent with expectancies relevant to people's stereotypes, attracted more and more the attentions of some researchers but it wasn't widely accepted as a new index to measure implicit attitudes. Therefore, the present study aims to explore implicit stereotype with IAT and SEB and whether there are differences between IAT and SEB.In the past, investigators always focus on the occupation-sex stereotypes, which was one of the important research areas in the social stereotype. Many study results showed that there were strong implicit occupation-sex stereotype and gender stereotype among college students. The present study aims to explore Parents'implicit attitudes in primary school with two amended Implicit Association Test(IAT) and then with self-designed Stereotypic Explanatory Bias(SEB) questionnaire, finally to analyze the results from the way of IAT and SEB.The results showed:1. Neither IAT and SEB significantly detected traditional implicit gender stereotype, but significantly identified implicit occupation-sex stereotype either, furthermore there was no gender difference in this implicit attitude. There were no significant correlation among different results, SEB is an effective tool for the test of implicit occupation-sex stereotype.2. The result of SEB showed that either gender tended to make internal attributions instead of external ones, which was especially significant when the behavior outcome was positive and obvious when the outcome is negative. Meanwhile, this phenomenon also verified the'self serving'bias and the'actor and observer'bias in people's attributions.3. There were no traditional implicit gender stereotype among pupils'parents, the internal-external attributions result showed: parents considered that their children can be excellent, without respect to gender. There were obvious stereotypic explanatory bias while parents'child sex differ from the subject-sex, parents like to make internal attributions while their children sex same to the subject-sex when the behavior outcome is positive, however, make external attributions when the behavior outcome is negative.
