All of the equivalent entries are chosen from two series of universal teaching materials. Then it is found based on the statistics that all translation equivalents constitute about more than 10 percent of the words in the lists, the verb has the highest percentage. The translation equivalents are classified in to three categories by part of speech, acceptation and corresponding relation for exploring causes of them. A questionnaire for foreign students proves that translation equivalents lead students make errors in studying.
