Wuxi New Dialect Present Situation

Since the 80 s, Perspectives on wuxi dialect research key gradually began to synchronic description from historical comparison to expand, And got some achievement. But the present stage of new dialect in all the detailed study is not much. Wuxi dialect the existence of the latest sound system has not been very good survey and analysis. Dialect research are also not very good and social linguistics research and regional culture research connected.This paper comprehensively reviewed the new local dialect of the people aged from 15 to 35 in three old town, namely, Chong'an, Nanchang and Beitang in Wuxi. Through a large number of investigations, we recorded the variations in the phonetics, grammar and vocabulary of the new dialect and the usage of the new dialect in the group between the age 15 to 35 in Wuxi. By using dialect history, geography, culture and social linguistics, we analyzed the present conditions of the dialect and summarized its characteristics, causes and development trend. To display the latest condition and changing rules of Wuxi new dialect in a more real sense and also provide a valuable material to the study of Wu dialect.
