The analects is researched on an extremely wide range of areas at present because of its unique literature status,but it is little to use pragmatics theory to analyse and research for it.Based on this,the paper uses discourse analysis and contextual theory to carry out preliminary analysis for the analects. Through the analysis, we find that in the analects it contains rich pragmatics thoughts and unique contextual characteristics. The thoughts include"words carefully","language appropriateness","words concisely","the conformity of words and things","words association","as good as his word","words courtesy"and any other aspects; the contextual characteristics manifest differences between the"hidden"context and the"dominant"context.The article is divided into five sections. The first part is introduction, mainly overviews the research status from language angle and introduces its research objective,research methods and the defination of discourse.The second part mainly analyses the pragmatics value of specific vocabulary of the analects and particularly discusses the pragmatics function of the folden word,the mood word,the"Dui Yue"form. The third part searches the variation patterns of the analects on the pragmatics from the pragmatics function of"the sequence variation of subject-predicate","the sequence variation of centering","the sequence variation of shape heart"and so on.The fourth part mainly makes a pragmatic analysis of the analects'discourse,we go ahead the concrete analysis for the control of language environment from the"hidden"context and the"dominant"context. The fifth part mainly discusses the pragmatic view of the analects from"words carefully","language appropriateness","words concisely","the conformity of words and things","words association","as good as his word","words courtesy"and any other aspects.
