The paper collects and analyzes the current philosophical concepts of music education, into which music education has developed since 1990's. From the perspective of history and practice and based on the literature, the current philosophical concepts are carefully analyzed, which puts the interpretation and deduction of the abstract concepts of music education philosophy into consideration under the specific social, political and cultural environment. And then how the thoughts of music education have been developed is concluded on the paper, through analyzing the philosophy of music education of past and present. Afterwards, the paper shifts the focus from the concepts into practical application, which centers on how to put the theory into practice.In Chapter one, taking the development of aesthetics in China as a clue, the paper begins with the origin of the concept of aesthetics, then collects and analyzes the typical educators and their views on the philosophy of music education, and thus concludes that it is necessary and rational for the existence of the music education philosophy.In Chapter two, the current philosophical concepts of music education are carefully analyzed.In Chapter three, from the perspective of the etymology of the concept of intersubjectivity, the development of intersubjectivity in Western countries, the epistemology, the communication theory and the intentionality, the paper gives a comprehensive explanation on the philosophy of music education of intersubjectivity. Besides, it also compares and analyzes the intersubjectivity in Chinese Confucian culture. Accordingly, all the discussion aims at creating the related theory for the practical application of music education.
