This paper mainly focus on The limitation that the Chinese scholars to discusscurrent international philosophy of music education are mostly about theintroduction,analysis and reflection of a few music education philosopher, groupsand their ideas. I will study on literature of the book of "The Oxford Handbook ofPhilosophy In Music Education " that have Included some different ideas fromdifferent scholars, to explore the characteristics and some trends of the internationalphilosophy in music education; My thesis consists of three parts, The first part is toclarify definition of my research as well as the academic context of the internationalmusic education philosophy related (from2002to2012); The second part of mypaper is interpretations and discussions of "The Oxford Handbook of Philosophy InMusic Education";the third part is based on the literature reachers combined with theacademic background, and then show my reflections and discussions about thefeatures and the trends of international philosophy of music education. This articlewill provide some practical examples,perspectives of research and achievements ofthe current international philosophy of music education,to show the diversephilosophical ideas,paradigms in music education philosophy, enriching the content ofinternational philosophy of music education in China and promoting the musiceducation philosophy research as well as music teaching and learning.
