Research On The Relationship Between The Interpersonal Forgiveness And Aggression Tendency Of College Students

University is very crucial stage in personal development. Because of the new problems caused by the social development and changes and the flaws of one's character make university students'psychological problems gradually become the focus of the whole society. Aggression is one of the extrusive performances in the psychological problem of undergraduates. Forgiveness which is a positive process of constructing self-perception, emotion and other psychological factors, has important significance in undergraduates'correct view of human nature and the ways of the world, facing frustration and attackers constructively and extinguishing aggressive behaviors. This article analyses the current situation of aggression tendency and interpersonal forgiveness level of undergraduates and the relationship between them, with assistance of the AQ attack behavior questionnaire revised by Buss and Perry (1992), TFS (Trait Forgiveness Scale) and Hearland Forgiveness Scale, using SPSS17.0 statistical software. The results of analysis of variance,correlation and regression are as follows:(1)College students' aggression tendency is in intermediate level overall, the higher performance ones are only the minority.(2)There are significant differences in physical attack and anger tendency of undergraduates in gender.(3)There are significant differences in Aggression tendency of undergraduates in different grades.(4)Hostile tendency of the undergraduates from the cities is significantly lower than the undergraduates from the countryside.(5)The physical attack and anger tendency of undergraduates who has had romance before is significantly higher than who has not.(6)There are significant differences in aggression tendency between undergraduates and junior college students.(7)The forgiveness level of most undergraduates is high, but some of them still need to improve.(8)There are significant differences in scene forgiveness level of undergraduates in different gender, professional and grades.(9)There are significant differences in scene forgiveness level and forgiveness traits of undergraduates between undergraduates and junior college students.(10)There were moderate negative correlation between forgiveness of undergraduates and aggression tendency, and negative correlation between hostile, anger, physical attack, words against tendency.(11)Forgiveness of undergraduates and scene forgiveness level plays a significantly negative predictive role in aggression tendency.The conclusions of this paper have enriched the results about aggression tendency and interpersonal forgiveness of undergraduates. Meanwhile the results can be used to improve the level of interpersonal forgiveness and to help undergraduates protected from attacking.
