Phonological learning is the first step in the process of second language acquisition. Standard pronunciation can greatly promote other linguistic proficiency. So doing phonological error analysis, and then finding an effective method for second language learners are of great importance. This is a study of pronunciation errors of Thai undergraduates of Chinese. Under the instruction of the contrastive analysis theory, the interlanguage theory and the error analysis theory, this paper based on my teaching practice as a volunteer Chinese teacher in Thailand, and took the records of questionnaire survey and oral dialogue as the research material. We firstly analyzed the detailed errors of Thai undergraduates and then presented the corresponding teaching countermeasures. This paper is totally composed of five parts.Chapter one is the introduction. We stated the significance of this topic, the research object and research methods. We reviewed the history of pronunciation error study to Thai students in the process of learning Chinese language. We also summarized the theoretical basis of this study and introduced the research content and process.Chapter two is errors analysis. We carefully analyzed the pronunciation errors of Thai undergraduates of Chinese from aspects of initials, finals, tones, prosodic phonemes and writing of Chinese pinyin system, etc.Chapter three focused on the reasons of errors. We analyzed the causes of pronunciation errors from three aspects which are phonetic systems, the objective environment and subjective conditions of learners.Chapter four focused on the teaching countermeasures.
