Chinese characters teaching plays an important role in Chinese language teaching,In the meantime,this part is relatively backward in Thailand's Chinese-teaching,the research on writing errors of Chinese characters is conducive to improving the level of teaching Chinese characters.As an important part of secondary education in Thailand,Vocational-technical Schools are composed of liberal arts and science majors which present specialty differences in Chinese characters learning.To compare the Chinese characters errors in diverse majors and reveal the similarities and differences of writing errors between liberal arts and science majors'students,analyzing the causes and further formulating corresponding teaching strategies,can enhance the pertinence and practicability of Chinese characters teaching in Vocational-technical Schools.This paper takes Chanthaburi Vocational-technical School students as the research object,investigating the Chinese characters errors of students in different majors,using the statistical methods to sort the data of errors types,On the basis of which the paper sums up the characteristics of the Chinese characters errors in liberal arts and science majors.Meanwhile the paper sums up the external and internal factors of students in different majors by questionnaire and interview,analyzes the causes of the similarities and differences of the errors in liberal arts and science majors' students,formulates the corresponding teaching countermeasures and puts forwards further suggestions for Vocational-technical Schools.This paper consists of six parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the reason,significance and innovation of the research and also illustrates the research-methods,summarizes the existing research literatures,describes the questionnaire and interviews from three aspects which are Purpose,object and design,through which to show that it is a combination of previous research and actual situation of teaching object.The second part mainly summarizes the characteristics of Vocational-technical Schools and teaching status of Chinese characters,explaines the present situation of Chanthaburi Vocational-technical School,so that facilitates the analysis to the problem of Chinese character teaching in Thailand vocational-technical schools.The third part mainly analyzes the errors writing data of different majors and sums up the similarities and differences of writing errors between liberal arts and science majors'students,so as to provide help for the analysis of the reasons and puts forward some countermeasures.The fourth part mainly analyzes the data of questionnaire using EXCEL and SPSS software,analysizes the influence factors from Chinese characters learners of different majors and then summarizes the characteristics of liberal arts and science students by comparing the numerical scale and mean.On this basis,the paper finds out the reasons for the similarities and differences of their writing errors.The fifth part mainly develops the general teaching strategies according to the reason which caused the common errors and the different teaching strategies for different majors according to the reason which caused different errors according to the characteristics of liberal arts and science majors' students.The sixth part is mainly based on grasping the characteristics of writing errors and distinguishing feature of different majors,presents thoughts for Chinese characters teaching and puts forward some suggestions for Vocational-technical Schools.
