Foreign words are a product of contact between different languages. It is lexical borrowing in words from one language to another. Any kind of open language should have a certain amount of foreign words. Thus, both in Chinese and Korean vocabulary, foreign words have a certain proportion. At the same time, with the development of exchange in language and culture, the number of foreign words is increasing. Because of the identical or interlinked features of cultures of mankind, especially between China and Korea, the using of foreign words usually share the same fate; and because of the different methods of the language construction, there are big differences in using and adapting foreign words between Chinese and Korean. The article is based on two languagesⅠmastered, which are Chinese and Korean. With comparative method and system study, I discuss the definition of foreign words between Chinese and Korean, the cause and history of using foreign words, the ways of using foreign words, the evolution of foreign words, and the influence on two nations, and then reasonable forecast of the future development in using foreign words between two languages is also discussed.
