The Chinese medicine-oriented textbook, used by foreign students, is dated back to the 1980th. And it always makes small improvement. This kind textbook normally only comes from the common Chinese language textbook, and then makes its own way, that's to say, to make the normal one more professional. The analysis of the textbook is founded on the basis of normal language book and Chinese medicine; more, it also needs full consideration of the teaching objects. This paper analyzes the current status of this kind textbook, the publication, the demand, the compile, the users of the textbook and any other teaching and linguistic elements which are connected to it.In order to make this research more appropriate and representative, we choose two famous universities of Chinese medicine of the country as the researching objects. The main body tells the curriculum, textbooks and the feedback of the students and teachers from these two universities. The result of the survey shows that most of the students and teachers are not satisfied with the current textbooks. The main problems are reacted through the difficulties of the textbooks, and meanwhile these difficulties are showed through the vocabulary and grammar and other linguistic elements as well as the function of the textbooks. This also shows the contradiction between the major and linguistic teaching. To further prove and solve this contradiction, we analyzed functional items, grammar, vocabulary and different kinds of class types from the textbooks used in the given two universities. This survey gives some suggestion to this kind textbook, on the basis of that, to propose some suggestion to the future compile of the future textbooks.
