Sex role is a behavioral system defined by a stated culture,which is fit for both males and females. It consists of the fundamental attitudes and emotions which constitute the males and females as well. In other words, Sex role refers to the social sex of an individual, which is independent of its biological sex. In the 1970s, the American psychologist Bem put forward the theory of androgyny, in which masculinity and femininity were recognized as relatively independent specialty and the psychosocial behavior characteristics of an individual were androgynous,that is to say, an individual can have at the same time the psychological feature of both males and females. The putting forward of theory of androgyny caused vast domestic and international scholars' attention. Numerous studies found that Individual sex roles status will produce influence of different levels on its life,study and work.At present,the universities largely increased enrollment which contributes to a demand saturation of the college students,and the college students' employment is degressive each year in such a social situation.and the difficulty for students to get employed is becoming more salient. Many factors contribute to difficulty for employment, except for family and social factors, undergraduate students'sex role, career interest, and knowledge about career may be related to their employment. The present study investigated the relationship between undergraduate students'sex role, vocational interest and stereotype. The findings may be help for people to acknowledge the difficulty for employment, and to adopt proper educational practice to guide students'employment.Two hundred and sixty-four undergraduate students from Shandong Jianzhu University participated in the present study. Sandra Bem's Sex Role Inventory (BSBI), Chinese Vocational Interest Inventory of Holland type and self-developed occupational stereotype questionnaire were used to investigate the relationship between graduate students'sex role, vocational interest and stereotype. The present study found that:1,Male and female undergraduates in four different sex role types of scale, double the gender ratio had more than single gender proportion. Male college students' masculine higher proportion of female college students, the number of female college students the number of feminine higher proportion of male undergraduate. Female university students' dual gender in higher proportion of male college students, the number of male undergraduate higher proportion of undifferentiated the number of female college students.2,College students there is professional stereotypes, including professional male stereotype more profound some.3,College students in vocational interest realistic type and research on gender differences in boys in real type and research on the girls were significantly higher score; College students' professional interest in real type and social type exist on a professional differences, living in the realistic type is significantly higher than the score, liberal arts school of arts living in social patterns in living is significantly higher than the score.4,Male college students' professional male stereotypes and feminine occupation stereotype than female students are strong. In professional male stereotypes, dual gender groups score will significantly lower than masculine group; In feminine occupation stereotype, dual gender groups to significantly lower than undifferentiated group. Double gender group and single gender group and group compared with no differentiation, stereotypes are much smaller.5,Masculine group and double gender than feminine group of realistic type more preference career and social type profession; Double gender than feminine group of more preference research profession; Butch group and double gender group than in the feminine group, undifferentiated group with more preference entrepreneurial career. Double sex of college students' professional interest in the group of reality more widely, they type, social type, research and the entrepreneurial are preferences, so they have more professional interest and career choice space.
