How to connect two totally different worlds:reality and fantasy is one of the toughest issues in the creation of the fantasy novel. Space-time conversion directly influences the quality of work in the text creation of the fantasy novel. This article trys to use space-time conversion as the breakthrough point to research the inner mechanism of fiction and do some thinking and exploring in the time-space conversion problems of contemporary Chinese children's fiction.The main purpose of this research lies in:1. Combing time-space conversion mechanism of the fantasy novels; 2. Deep analyzing of three main factors:time, channel, and role to realize the space-time conversion; 3. Looking for the uniqueness of space-time conversion presentation of Chinese contemporary children's fantasy novel. The realization of these intentions will centre on time-space conversion.Firstly of all, "Two levels" is one of the basic characteristics of fantasy novels and the logical beginning that time-space conversion does exist in fantasy novels. The real world and fantasy world are on different levels. The fantasy world has its own internal logic and the unique existing laws. Because of the different levels of the two worlds, the major role must be introduced while being displaced and conversed between real and fantasy space-time. This is determined by the properties of two levels.Secondly, This paper is based on the basic characteristics ("Two levels") of fantasy novels and combines specific text to analyze time, channel, role of realizing Space-time conversion from three aspects:time setting, channel creation and specific characters. It also probes into the uniqueness and innovation ways of space-time conversion presentation in Chinese contemporary children's fantasy novels. Because of the local culture heritage and uniqueness of narrative tradition of all countries' literature narrative, each country has its own features and characteristics in space-time conversion narrative in fantasy novels. Chinese writers of contemporary children's fantasy try hard to construct their own ways to express it and do experimental exploration on it. Meanwhile, we can often feel the difficulties of the experiments. When we take a cautious and calm attitude to research the inner mechanism of space-time conversion of the fantasy novels and examine the future possibilities and the realization of the artistic values of Chinese contemporary children's fantasy, we find that we can create and make a breakthrough from two aspects. One is to search for the artistic innovation under the intertextuality. The other is to make a breakthrough in local culture under the impact of the globalization.
