The paper expatiated on and integrated concepts and theories of relationship guilt from domestic and oversea. Combine our Chinese cultural background, we come to the Relationship Guilt Questionnaire (RGQ) based on Martin L. Hoffman'relationship guilt theory and it was developed for the first time regard to Chinese college students.The paper use the self-measure of relationship guilt to study the college students' relationship guilt and analyze the relationship among relationship guilt, neurotic personality and depression. Results indicate that (1) The RGQ has good consistency reliability and a factor structure consistent with theory. (2)The relationship guilt is prevalent among the Chinese college students. There is significant difference between sexes. The female has higher level of relationship guilt than the male, so is in the two dimensions of relationship attribution and relationship empathy. (3) All the dimensions of RGQ, relationship attribution and relationship self-hate are positively related to depression. By the stepwise regression analysis, the paper found that relationship self-hate'predictive power for depression is greatest. (4) The correlation coefficient among relationship guilt, neurotic personality and depression is significantly, the degree of correlation between neurotic personality and depression is steady. (5) Neurotic personality has moderating effect between relationship guilt and depression.
