The essence of intelligent is one of the basic issues of cognitive science.The solution to the problem directly related to many corresponding problems,such as the mental representation, intentionality, the relationship between mind and body.Cognitive phenomena is the common issue of philosophers of different schools in the history of western philosophy. With the cognitive turn of the philosophy of science,the theory of MI of cognitive philosopher Howard Gardner from Harvard University leads a "Copernican revolution" in the western education,which have a profound impact on the Western and China in 1990s.A famous psychologist Ulric Nelsser, which from American, think that the theory of MI not only had got rid of psychological measurement theory and the narrow mode of information processing,but also proposed new concept of human capacity in many fields.In this paper, comparative analysis, comprehensive analysis and document analysis method are used to analyze the intelligences and the cognitive mechanism of MI comprehensively, seeking to explore and grasp the meaning and essence of cognitive thinking based on the scientific interpretion.The article consists of three major parts.The first chapter explains the source of Gardner's cognitive thinking on the theory of MI.The cognitive thinking of unitary intelligence, includes mainly innate ideas, tablet theory and constructivism.The cognitive thinking of ternary intelligence,the analysis of Guilford's structure of intellect(SOI)and Sternberg's ternary cognitive intelligent theory; cognitive thinking of MI.The second chapter is the construction of cognitive context of Gardner's theory of MI,including the structure of the cognitive context of Gardner's theory of MI, the working mechanisms and the re-contextualization of the cognitive context of the theory of MI.The third chapter explains the significance of the theory of Gardner's MI in the study of philosophy,the cognitive thinking of the theory of MI promoting the progress of cognitive science, and the analys of the cognitive context of the theory of MI enriching the methodology of cognitive philosophy and the study on the cognitive theory facilitating the fusion of integration of science and humanism.
