The structure "V+Dao+X" is frequently used in Chinese and it's easy to find errors of foreign students when they use it. It's not only a key grammar point but also a difficult one in teaching Chinese as a second language. However, the existing research only focus on the body research or just list the examples of errors but not analysis further.Accordingly, under the theory of Construction Grammar, this paper divide the structure "V+Dao+X" into four categories:"V+Dao+X location", "V+Dao+Xtime", "V+Dao+Xlevel" and "V+Dao+Xresult", and investigate the errors in each structure from the perspective of syntactic, semantic and pragmatic. By the comparative analysis of "V+Dao+X" and other types of constructions which foreign students are easily confused with, this paper describes and explains the semantic, grammatical and pragmatic features of these four constructions. After comparing Chinese and foreign languages, we analyzed the causes of errors based on the theory of Cognitive Linguistics and Interlanguage. At last, according to the "Phrase Teaching" and "Construction—Chunks Teaching", put forward the idea of teaching "V+Dao+X" in a hierarchical system.
