Chorus course is one of the public compulsory courses in music. It is a cross-disciplinary which has a close affiliation with the other music subjects and plays a signaling and linking role. As a learner in the music profession, chorus teaching plays an important part entirely in the process of learning, no matter whether you are a postgraduate, a undergraduate or a junior college student; no matter whether you are learning instrumental playing or vocal performance; no matter whether you are a researcher on the creation of theory or a bandleader.In recent years, a lot of music teachers and researchers from the first-line teaching who has different views and improved measures on chorus teaching reform have a great many of improved methods and advanced concepts by means of accumulating chorus teaching practice. For example, the improvement of traditional teaching methods, compiling coursebook, teaching adjustments, strengthen the teaching practice . However, most researchers put their focus on the chorus teaching for undergraduates instead of on the junior college students. From lots of documents and daily teaching practice on chorus, we find that teaching contents and ways for undergraduates are not applicable for college students obviously for the differences in program objectives. The objectives for undergraduates can not adapt to the development of professional education. For a chorus teacher in the college, I deeply feel bitter and find that many elements restrict chorus teaching through practical teaching experience for many years, the main reason is the college students from a low level own little theory knowledge; Otherwise, many textbooks put emphasis on theory can not be adapted to teaching class; lack of practical class in teaching process. Which influence the teaching and learning effects. Therefore, Vocational Courses reform on chorus is an inevitable trend.The thesis makes analysis of the chorus course in Tieling Normal College and put forward three effective methods to solve the problems in the teaching process. Firstly, simplify coursebook, reflecting humanistic teaching concept; Secondly, strengthen practice teaching, practice-oriented teaching; thirdly, adapts group-teaching method, reflecting the differences in teaching pedagogy. Through these three methods, strengthen chorus teaching and learning for college students, breaking the traditional teaching mode, bring new teaching ideas and teaching methods to the class, to explore a new way in accordance with vocational training objectives and form effective improvement measures.
