Abstract:Higher Vocational education has developed rapidly since 1990's, which has the nature of higher education and vocational education and is playing an important role in China's higher education popularization and accelerating the development of modern vocational education. Chinese curriculum is a common cultural curriculum in higher vocational colleges. From the current situation, there are still many practical problems, which need to be improved in the teaching materials, structure, content and effect. In the school situation, the development of the so-called teaching material is a kind of teaching material, which is developed by the school teachers as the main body based on the teaching tradition of the school and the use of the resources of the school. "Practical language art" is a language course in Hunan Mechanical and Electrical Polytechnic, the school teaching team developed based on language skills and quality, teaching resources and conditions, curriculum standards, content framework, teaching design, etc. It has formed a "practical language art", which is suitable for the teaching of our school, and has a certain popularization value.
