As our government is paying more attention to the pre-school education, many kindergarten training schools in our country are being upgraded one by one. Hebei province is set the experimental area for kindergarten training school upgrading. As a piano teacher of Shijiazhuang pre-school teachers college, the author did some comparisons in the piano teaching before and after it was upgraded, based on her teaching experience, scientific investigation, with the aid of pedagogy, psychology and musicology subjects as the theory and research method in order to discover better ways in normal college piano teaching.First of all, to research the necessity and the importance of analysis, either from the piano teaching or the historical opportunity, it is necessary to do the research in piano teaching reform, especially with the attention of piano education as the people have a higher demand for piano education. It is necessary to do further research in piano teaching to educate more and more qualified teachers for kindergartens and primary schools.Secondly, the author did objective analysis on the piano teaching goals, teaching content, teaching method, evaluation method before the school was upgraded. After a few years'development, piano teaching in secondary normal school is precise and practical, with concrete and clear goals and coherent and proper requirements. As for secondary normal school the piano teaching methods can be said complete. And the evaluation method has been stable. However, with the development of society, the present teaching mode in secondary normal school must be improved in order to need the demand of the society. The upgrading of the school is a good chance for us to improve the teaching mode. In this part, the author mainly analyses the defects of the teaching mode in piano lesson.Finally, in order to solve the existing problems, considering the teaching practice in Shijiazhuang pre-school teachers'college, the author did further analysis of the new syllabus and did much research on the teaching of piano education in pre-school teachers college. The piano teaching should be more practical and more efficient and comprehensive to all students. From the point of teaching inform, teachers should improve their teaching methods and settle clear and proper teaching goals in the piano course so that the students can be more skilled and creative.
