With China's rising status in world stage and its growing participation in conferences of major international organizations, the significance of international organization conference documents translation increases. The features in conference documents of the United Nations, the biggest international organization in the modern world, represent the uniqueness in text and style of international organization conference documents.The international organization document is a type of offical document and belongs to context-focused text according to the text type theory by German translation theorist K. Reiss. This paper selects a translation project of FAO conference document as the case. By analyzing the problems during the translation process, the paper discusses the translator's sense according to the four characteristics of UN documents: consistency, accuracy, conciseness and clarity, and provides strategies in UN conference documents translation. Comparing the first draft, revising version and the final draft of translation, the paper proves that the translation stratagies applied are effective; thus offers guidance and reference for international organization document translation.
