The ideal society is the common persuaded value of human. It is precisely because of the reflection of the social reality and yearning for an ideal society, human society was able to continue to make progress. We can say that ancient and modern, it is the idea of an ideal society and practice have never stopped, and will always continue. Ancient thinkers have made arduous explorations, leaving a wealth of intellectual resources. This article focuses on analysis of the well-ordered society of Rawls thought, with a view of contemporary Chinese social benefits.The first part of the article analyses the concept of Rawls's "well-ordered society" from the macro point of the relation of individual and society, and focus on summary and demonstrate the basic characteristics of well-ordered society;Second part of the article demonstrates the significance of the properties of the institution dealing with the well-ordered society, and researches the basic arrangements of political and economic institution of well-ordered society;Third part of the article demonstrates the important significance of civic virtue, in particular the sense of justice and good sense for the well-ordered society on account of the reflection of the deficiencies in institution, and proposes the ways to cultivate the practice the civic virtue. Meanwhile, conducts in-depth thinking of the relationship between the institution and moral by drawing on the use of Rawls's "reflective equilibrium" approach. The article concluded that the justice institution and the good citizens are the two most important foundation of well-ordered society. This conclusion provides a useful insight for the transformation of Chinese society.
