In the recent years, many countries of the world are increasing economic, cultural, scientific and educational exchange with China. Mongolia is one of those countries. The number of people learning Chinese language is on the rampant. As Mongolia and China are now close partners in economic and cultural exchange, teaching of Chinese language in Mongolia is an important factor in achieving the goals set by the two countries. There is an enormous increase in the number of people learning Chinese language. Now Chinese is an important foreign language in Mongolia. Till now (2011), Mongolian Ministry of Education and Science has set up 60 Chinese Language Schools. Further, many schools are offering Chinese language as an elective subject at elementary and secondary level. It shows clear an increasing interest of the people in learning Chinese language.Though Chinese language teaching and learning in Mongolia has shown a significant achievement, yet there are some unavoidable situations between the two languages, like grammar, syntactic structure, phonology and semantics are notably different from each other. Hence, errors in the use of language are indispensable. These errors need to be rectified for the correct use of language. This study aims at finding the nature and kinds of errors Mongolian students make while learning Chinese language. The significance of the survey can well be judged by the modest purpose it serves, i.e. an unbiased learning of Chinese language by Mongolian students.
