Low Carben Art Design Making Life More Beautiful

During the seventies of last century, the reform and open policy brought us great material changes to our daily life, but at the same time, it also made us take the extensive economic development mode featuring with high consumptions and high emissions. Many more short-sighted art design practitioners even pursued the so-called" class" decoration or product design in order to meet the needs of a few people in their pursuit of luxury, which apparently had deviated from the basic of design from its fundamental and lost the spirit of creation. Till now, this situation obviously has not adapted to the development of our country's economy, and even has become an obstacle to the development of low carbon art design concept. It has become an urgent problem to be solved on how to improve the current situation and how to practice the low carbon design concept in art design.On March 11, 2011, an earthquake of magnitude 9.0 occurred in the Pacific Ocean, east of Japan's Miyagi-ken, then a tsunami followed. After the terrible disaster, the secondary disasters triggered by the earthquake and tsunami made people more threatened, especially the uncontrolled nuclear leakage accident. Nuclear radiation became a hot topic among people all around the world, which more or less has made an impact to our life.The development of science and technology improves the life of people, but it also threatens human enormously. The idea to improve low-carbon life style is more popular. Especially in recent years,"the low-carbon economy","the low-carbon society","the low-carbon life"has become popular words. According to the survey, nearly 70% people in Europe and America like the life style of DIY. In other words:"Ample food and clothing by working with our own hands."Many element food shops start doing business one after another at abroad and are becoming more and more popular."Element food shop"refers to the shop which supplies food mainly made of vegetables and fruit, no meat, no fire, no sugar. All the food is made of organic vegetables under low temperature, and even the cake is made without cream which is indeed safe and healthy. Many people choose the more energy saving and environment protecting way to travel while parking their cars in the garages. More and more people are using wind energy, solar energy, and give up the use of coal and nuclear energy. Actually, the so-called low-carbon life is represented in all the respects of people's basic necessities of life. The English words"Low carbon", represents the low releasing of greenhouse gas (mainly carbon dioxide). Based on this idea, the designing thinking, the material and the designing method which take the low-carbon concept as the leading art is called"the low-carbon art layout". In the process of product manufacturing, the preserving, the transportation, the circulation, the consumption and the recycling , people make every effort to reduce the energy consumption and the releasing of carbon.The article has discussed the inevitability and feasibility of the low-carbon art layout in our country from macroscopic and the microscopic aspects and proposes a series of practical and feasible methods to develop the low-carbon art layout.Firstly, by researching the low carbon concept in our traditional culture, we sensitively realized that our country has had an excellent traditional culture of low carbon. Thousands of years ago, our ancestors created many practical low carbon life styles, such as storing food in the cellars. This kind of food storage was in no way inferior to today's refrigerators or freezers. Those inventions not only showed their intelligence and wisdom, but also shows that we do have the foundation and superiority of developing low carbon economy, especailly low carbon art design.Secondly, let's look at the international environment. Many countries and areas have realized the importance of low-carbon development to the survival of human beings in the future. The low-carbon art layout also affects people's life in all respects. Countries with outstanding sensitivity have already taken measures to change the economic development pattern with high consumptions and high emissions. They have created many low-carbon development program and art layout work. The successful experience is precious and is worth studying..Thirdly, we should practice low carbon design's feasibility in our country from government's sparkplug, law support, the increasingly input of new resourses'expoitation to the propaganda of low carbon economy. We also should develop concrete strategies and methods to carry out the low carbon economic development patterns in our country. From the microscopic point of view, how to reflect low carbon concept art design in the category of art design is also our research focus. In the bosom category of art design, our urgent matter is to systematically analyze all aspects of low carbon art design from graphic design, clothing design, environment design to product design and so on, to provide the feasible improvement method according to the various categories of art featuresIn the end, In the macroscopic aspect, the innovation of technology will promote the low carbon concept art design in the round.From the international and national society to art design practitioners, we all must set up a low carbon economy development concept. As art designers, in the face of an earth with bruise everywhere and constant hurt, we should be more aware of our social responsibilities, undertake our obligation with couragement and stick to the low carbon art design concept forever.
