| ObjectiveThe purpose of the paper was to explore the influencing factors and correlation ofpsychological personality characteristics for Chinese nuclear power plant operators, so asto understand the mental health status of the special occupation personnel, to offer a basisevaluation for the psychological health care and job competencies.Methods:1. Assessment tool: Using the Mental Health and Neurobehavioral evaluation systemof Chinese Nuclear Power Plant Operator to test on the operators, which was researchedand developed by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University.2. Sample collection: The samples came from the Chinese nuclear power plantoperators, sample extraction using cluster random sampling method. This thesis choosesmental health personality factors, hypochondriasis, masculine feminine and creativitypersonality factors as the research projects.3. Test: Testing by professional personnel to arrangement, supervision and guidance,and they were required subjects to complete the test by one-time which accord to theunified instruction. Test environment was required quiet, comfortable and tried to avoid thenoise and other interference.4. Statistical analysis: Using SPSS17.0statistical software for data statistics,descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, Independent-Sample T Test, One-Way ANOVAand Least Significant Difference were used to analysis these date.Results:1. Test validity: The operators had464psychology test papers, remove5invalid papers that the lie point≥8and there were still459psychology test papers, the testefficiency rate was98.9%shows that the tester has high reliability.2. Correlation analysis of psychological personality characteristics subscale for theoperators: their mental health factors were negatively correlated with hypochondriasis,sexual factors, creativity personality factors and masculine feminine (P<0.05).3. The impact of demographic variable on psychological personality characteristics ofthe operators: Operators of different age and various positions showed significantdifferences on mental health personality factor, hypochondriasis and masculine feminine(P＜0.05); Education status had a significant impact on mental health personality factor (P＜0.05); Marital status had a significant impact on mental health personality factor,hypochondriasis and creativity personality factor (P＜0.05); Different length of service hada significant impact on psychological personality characteristics, length of service greaterthan5years of operators had lower scores on mental health personality factor andcreativity personality factor and had higher scores on haicompared and masculine femininethan the operators who length of service less than5years. The difference showedstatistically significant (P＜0.05).4. The comparison of mental health status between the operators with the collegestudents: Most part of the mental health statues of these operators were better. A total of76.25%(350/459) Nuclear Power Plant operators had excellent mental health,and20.04%(92/459) for general group,2.61%(12/459)had poor mental health, while1.2%(5/417) hadpsychological disorders; and corresponds to the proportion of the college students' mentalhealth status were57.64%(117/203),32.51%(66/203),5.91%(12/203),3.94%(8/203).Thecomparison of psychological personality characteristics between the operators with thecollege students: Between the operators with the college students that the psychologicalpersonality characteristics showed significant differences on mental health personalityfactor, hypochondriasis and creativity personality factor(t=-4.237,-3.096,5.145P＜0.01).The operators ' mental health status were better than the college students.5. The comparison of psychological personality characteristics on different mental health level between the operators with the college students: the operators on differentmental health level showed significant differences on mental health personality factor,hypochondriasis and masculine feminine(F=7.205,18.56,7.027P＜0.01),but the creativitypersonality factor of operators has notstatistically significant(F=1.690P＞0.05);the collegestudents on different mental health level showed significant differences on mental healthpersonality factor, hypochondriasis and masculine feminine and creativity personalityfactor (F=5.567,13.315,5.256,3.302P＜0.05).Conclusion:Chinese nuclear power plant operators in mental health and behavioral neurologicalassessment system can be used as an effective tool for evaluation on nuclear power plantoperators, and it can be to offer a basis evaluation for the psychological health care and jobcompetencies. The test results show that nuclear power plant operators have excellentmental health status and their have differences in demographic variables. A qualifiedoperator should have the psychological personality characteristics with the high mentalhealth personality factors, low hypochondriasis, low creativity and masculine feminineshould be appropriate to both. |
