Many colleges and universities established Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) as the flourishingly development of Chinese international communication. With the number of foreign students who pursues this degree is rising in recent years, curriculum problems caused by their different language levels is inevitably exist. In order to study the necessity of offering foreign students writing course systematically, interviews and conducted questionnaire survey were conducted among teachers and foreign students from five universities. On the basis of analyzing the importance of writing, needs of teaching and learners, the main conclusions have been reached as followings:it is extremely necessary to offer foreign students writing course systematically. In addition, on the basis of interviewing three teachers who are teaching this course, some suggestions on class hour, teaching material and some other special means were put forward. Hopefully, it may generate more public discussion.
