Purpose:The paper intends to investigate students'mental health of high schools in the south of Henan Province and to explore the relating factors, in order to provide the basis for workers interested in improving students'mental health status, and to help improve the level of students'mental.Methods:The subjects was selected in accordance with the random stratified cluster sampling method, and we use of the clinical symptoms of mental health self-rating scale (SCL-90) to research2100students'mental health from grade1to grade3of six high schools in three cities in the south of Henan Province. SPSS11.5statistical software is used to give independent sample T test and F test on the data, and get statistical detection rate of psychological problems. The results were compared with the domestic research.Results:(1) The SCL-90dimensions of the positive rate of students in south of Henan Province high schools is15.5%to53.8%. Compared with the national norm, the students' scores in interpersonal sensitivity, high terrorist factor was significantly higher than the norm, and the scores of somatization, hostility, paranoid ideation are significantly lower than the norm, and the total level of mental health remains basically the same with the national norm.(2) the mental health status of the non-graduating high school students is better than the graduating students of high school; There is no significant difference between mental health of male and female; There is no significant difference in the mental health of students in cities, towns, rural places; There is no significant difference between the mental health of left-behind students and non-left-behind-students; There is no significant difference between the mental health of the-only-child at home and the not-the-only-child at home.(3) The parenting style has an important impact on students' mental health, and the democracy and equality type are the most conducive ways to develop the healthy growth of children's mental rearing patterns. While, indifferent type has the bigger danger to children's mental health than autocratic type.(4)The way of rasing children plays an important role on the level of students' mental health. Both parents raising is the most conducive to the growth of students' mental health, and parents' remarry and foster-care have some degree of weakening effect on high school students' mental health in which parents' remarriage raising is the least conducive to students' mental health parenting.(5) Family economic conditions influence the level of high school students'mental health, and better family economic conditions tend to do good to a higher level of students'mental health.(6) Students with outpatient experience and be-in-hospital experience, or chronic diseases tend to have worse mental statusConclusion:(1) There is no significant difference of students'mental health level between the students in the south of Henan Province and the overall level of national secondary school students.(2) High school students of different grade have different level of mental health. The gender, urban and rural areas, whether begotten, whether enrolled in the focus of high school have no significant effect on students'mental health level in the south of Henan Province.(3) Parents 'parenting style, raising style and families'economic conditions have significant effect on students' mental health status.
