Thai Political Parties On The Process Of Democratization In Thailand

Thailand has established constitutional monarchy since 1932,but the institition has many problems because of many different factos.As one of the most crucial factor in democratic system,political parties have enormous influence to democratic system of the country.This paper takes Democratic Party of Thailand (DPT)as a example,giving a deeply analysis about the influence of political party to the democratization of Thailand.The paper has been divided four parts,which included the conclusion. The paper takes parties as a entry point,and takes history as a clue. At the same time,the paper takes the Democratic Party of Thailand(DPT)as a example,analysising the relationship between the party movement and democratization process and giving the deeply thinking about the reasons of restrictive effect of party in democratization process. At last,the paper lists the following items as conclusions:First of all,there are many different factors influence on the party's political function. The second,not only the parties,but also other political powers influence on the democratization process in different ways in Thailand. The third, other parties in Thailand could take the Democratic Party of Thailand as example in the party building and political participation.The fourth.parties should take more responsibilities in cultivation democracy awareness of citizens in the process of construction of democracy.The last but not the least, the influence of traditional power would not be eliminated in a short period,the coorperation of parties and traditional power should be a pragmatic way of Thailand.
