Research On The Role Of Philanthropy In Urban Social Medical Assistance

With the development of society and the updating of people's ideas, the modern sense of the urban social medical assistance is more than just a fully borne by the government's responsibility and obligation, but a new social values.Under the conditions of vigorously developing social economy and promoting socialist morality, philanthropy has been a profound meaning standing on equal personality of solidarity, helping each other, progressing together,beyond the traditional meaning of charity and gift.In recent years, the issue of "difficult and expensive medical treatment" has become increasingly prominent in China. The medical standards of the disadvantaged groups, in particular the medical problems of urban vulnerable groups, is still a prominent issue in the field of Medical assistance in China.The difficulty of Medical treatment for urban poors has caused the government's highly attention. Urban poors have low income levels, live in a hard condition,and have poor health,they have a higher probability of diseased. However, by the high level of medical services and drug prices, the medical issues of urban poors is very difficult and outstanding. the Third Session of the sixteenth Central Committee of the Party required to establish and improve the social medical aid system and multi-level medical security system. Establishment of the medical aid system for urban poors is a system of social engineering, not only need the government's efforts, but also encourage people to contribute their strength. With the growing awareness of people's charity concept and the growing of philanthropy, More and more people have realized the philanthropy is very helpful for urban social medical assistance.Philanthropy's own features and functionality provide a strong motivation and support for it's role in urban social medical assistance. As a social medical assistance in the urban society, the gradual rising of philanthropy is playing an increasingly important role, With the participation in urban social medical assistance, such as raising funds, using of donations, the establishment and improvement of charitable medical institutions,the expansion of charity volunteers and the concern or participate of community in social medical assistance, the level of philanthropy and urban social medical assistance is far more improved.So is our multi-level social security system.But,the imperfect of philanthropy itself and the complexity and difficulty of urban social medical assistance undoubtedly become the resistance and yoke for their furthure. There is still a need of constantly enriched and improved content and system related for charitable medical assistance in urban society. In this article,after introducing the theoretical and pratical situation of the role of philanthropy in urban medical assistance, we found the promblems,and then disscussed the deep-seated reasons for it. By learning advanced experience of foreign countries,we put forward related suggestions and Salutions. By continuously improvement of philanthropy, urban social medical assistance will be better connected,the role of philanthropy in urban social medical assistance will be more and more important,a greater degree of further theoretical and practical reference guide for philanthropy in urban social medical assistance will be provided in the future.
