The Research On Media's Response To Mass Incidents

In recent years, mass incidents occur frequently in our country, which have made a great influence on the economic development, social stability and the legitimacy of government and have became important social phenomenons and problems. So how to treat this kind of events has to be one research hotspot for government, judicial circles, media and academics .The media, which bears the duty of monitoring government, guiding consensus ,stabling society and culturing, definitely will play an key role. With the rising of Internet, the gradually loosening of political environment excite the enthusiasm of media to report the mass incidents.Except the introduction chapter and conclusion chapter of this paper, there are four chapters: the first chapter will analysis the characters and causes of the mass incidents, and know well their development treasure by deeply discussing the concept ,characters and causes of the mass incident; the second discusses the the role and function of media in dealing with mass incident, which will help the media to know its relative ability and let them functions better; the third part reviews problems existing in report concerning the mass incidents by current media; based on the discussion of former parts, we naturally present the strategies and suggestions for today's media to report the mass incidents.
