As the main approach and chain for undergraduate student cultivation at military universities, course teaching play an very important role for the quality of talented person of military universities. Therefore, how to enhance the quality of course teaching have been the main concern of teaching management department, teachers and cadets since long time ago. It also is a hot spot problem in the research field of military high education. As a result, it is has both theoretical and practical meaning for this thesis to do research work on the evaluation of course teaching quality. The main research works of this thesis are as follows:(1) Focused on the requirement of the cultivation of talented military person to course teaching, based on the existing research results and total quality management theory, the evaluation modes and relative theories are analyzed. Then, evaluation indices are give for the course teaching quality, along with evaluation method that is based on questionnaire survey and statistics analysis. These results can provide reference help for building up a scientific and reasonable evaluation mechanism of course teaching quality at military universities.(2) From the point of view of course teaching evaluaton by students, questionnaire and the corresponding scale are designed, and the procedure for doing course teaching quality is given. By doing statistical analysis, the weighting coefficients can be found, and the evaluation value can be given on each measurement items.(3) With the national university of defense technology (NUDT) as an example, a case study is conducted with regards to the evaluation problem of course teaching quality. By descriptive statistical analysis of the data of the questionnaire survey, the main existing problems in course teaching quality is analyzed.(4) Some proposals for further improving the course teaching quality are presented. Mainly included are: deepening the thinking of course teaching quality evaluation, strengthening the practical chains of course teaching, continuously improving the contents and methods of course teaching, and enhancing the scientific management and the capability of teaching support.
