At the turn of 1960s and 1970s, the foreign policy of China to US began to change, from revolutionarily to pragmatically, and finally improved the Sino-US relation.The alleviation of China-US relation, either as regard to itself or to the international political pattern, have very important sense. On the basis of previous research results, under the guidance of the theory and method of historical materialist and with the research angle of three feelers of the US to China,which directly improved Sino-US relations, this paper has analyzed the utterance of the American and Chinese leaders in the process of the alleviation of China-US relation with the way of discourse analysis, understand the status of relations between the two states, and captured the subtle changes of bilateral relations from details. As a result, the paper has found that the characteristic of China's Foreign Policy to the US in this period is coexisting of practical diplomacy and revolutionary diplomacy, but whose developing trend is from revolution diplomacy to the coexisting of pragmatic diplomacy and revolutionary diplomacy,and finally pragmatic diplomacy.
