Fueled by rapid economic growth, the urbanization process is accelerating around China where city management draws increasing attention. Despite some success achieved so far that contributes to a better city environment, there are still many issues that cannot be ignored. More, as far-reaching city management has become the focal point of many a contradiction arising in this stage of social development, it requires further reform of the means of administrative law enforcement, and sound management system, regulations and policy. Nowadays, city management centralizes the power of administrative punishment in few agencies. As a result, a lot of problems come up in the practice:such as the absence or non-compliance with standard enforcement procedures, under-qualified and less-disciplined law enforcement officers, and tons of complaints against bad attitude and oversimplified practice. The author has studied local administrative law enforcement for city management in the city of Yingtan, Jiangxi Province and revealed, building on general analysis of specific duties and responsibilities of such enforcement agencies and empirical analysis of kinds of issues in the real-world practice, some common problems that may arise during the administrative law enforcement for city management. Furthermore, she has also offered some solution suggestions, helping build a sound administrative law enforcement system of city management for a harmonious society.
