Foundation Of The United States In Response To Climate Change And International Cooperation In The Role

Global climate change has a very significant impact on the social development. After the Cold War, the status of the international environmental diplomacy has been rising in international relations. Since then, how to deal with the challenges of global climate change has become one of the most important issues that concerned by the international community. Being an important participant in the international environmental diplomacy, the American Foundations play a significant role to deal with the global climate change. This text chooses the American Foundations as the research subjects, and tries to find out their operation mode in the international cooperation responding the global climate change. And it also tries to summarize their contributions in the process as well.The text is mainly divided into four sections. The first chapter defines the definition of America Foundation, recalls the history of its development. And it also describes the major American Foundations to address climate change. The second chapter analyzes the case study approach of three American Foundations in international cooperation on climate change practice. The third chapter, from the specific project implementation and policy development, discusses the American Foundation's influence on the U.S. Climate Policy. The fourth chapter summarizes the experience of the American Foundations, generalizes enlightenment the American Foundations bring to people in the international cooperation on climate change.
