Government performance evaluation, as an effective management tool, began in the1970s, and with the enhancements of the Government's cost-consciousness and social awareness of public scrutiny, the government performance evaluation has drawn a great deal of attention and been implemented. With the target responsibility system implemented in our government, the performance evaluation of government departments also begins to attract widespread attention from the society. Since reforming and opening, performance evaluation on government and its staff in China has also undergone two fundamental changes:firstly, from egalitarianism in the past without any assessment and reward turns to results-oriented performance; secondly, from the moral and political performance evaluation to the performance evaluation of the moral and political character, ability, diligence, and incorruptibility.Enterprise performance assessment appeared in the beginning of20th century. With the society rapid development, Enterprise performance evaluation has become quite perfect. Government performance evaluation in China started quite late, it's starting is not too high, and is far from perfect. However, introducing the enterprise performance evaluation mechanism to the performance evaluation of our government, especially analyzing and summarizing some successful experiences of the enterprise performance evaluation that have gained, is of great importance and significance to improve our government performance evaluation.This paper, regarding government performance evaluation and enterprise performance evaluation as study goal, mainly through documentary research and comparative study, does in-depth analysis on the realities of our government performance evaluation and its problems. Through whole comparison on the similarities and differences between enterprise performance evaluation and government performance evaluation, and specifically analyze the necessity and feasibility of the successful experience of the enterprise performance evaluation introducing into the government performance evaluation, and finally give five suggestions to further improve government performance evaluation system:firstly, government performance evaluation should use enterprise performance evaluation value orientation; secondly, government performance evaluation should use enterprise performance evaluation model of diversification; thirdly, government performance evaluation should use enterprise performance evaluation index system; Fourthly, government performance evaluation should use enterprise performance evaluation methods and skills; fifthly, government performance evaluation should learn performance evaluation results application from enterprise.
