Teaching of high school basketball is in the exploration and innovation of the period, with the gradual deepening teaching reform, we need to call upon the new basketball teaching personnel training to adapt to the society. By studying this subject, we can sufficiently combine the basketball teaching with the current "Quality Education", "Lifelong Education". It has its considerable values if we skillfully put the educational and cultural functions in the basketball teaching into the teaching practice. It can promote the students' individual socialization and provide references to the new mode of basketball teaching.Through the study of the current situation of basketball teaching in Panjin City, we have found the following problems and at the same time give out our suggestions to these problems. Thus it can help a lot in reforming and developing the basketball training. Take the senior schools in Panjin for example, we can find that firstly the set modes of the PE(Physical Education) in the teaching process is not rational; second the valuation system is imperfect; the students' enthusiasms are fettered by the traditional concepts and then it makes the teaching concepts take apart from the social development of talent.Using questionnaire, logical analysis, interviews and other research methods in this thesis, we randomly take 10 senior schools and their PE teachers in Panjin as our objects. And by analyzing the current situation of the senior school basketball teaching, we can get the following conclusions:1 For teachers, they don't clearly aware that they should change their teaching concepts, not to speak of the implement of that in the practical teaching.2 Second the professional competence of teachers is not strong, the teachers go wrong in the adoptive methods and approaches and don't feature the students.3 The teachers' teaching concepts are not profound and comprehensive. In order to meet the current needs of talent development in our society, the PE teaching concepts should take the lead.4 The investment of the basketball hardware facilities(equipment and space) can still not satisfy the practical needs of students. 5 There are some problems existing in the evaluation system of teaching basketball problems. Meanwhile, we take a different angle to analyze the senior students' understanding of basketball teaching and the PE teachers'professional awareness. Advices and strategies:1 Guide the related leaders to strengthen the attention to the physical education teaching.2 Develop the new resources in basketball teaching and make the contents of courses fun.3 Practice total refom in basketball teaching and set up new basketball teaching concepts.3.1 Pay more attention to the theory of basketball teaching reform.3.2 Use new mode of basketball teaching and value the rationality of the organizational form of the basketball teaching.3.3Center on the students'interests and optimize the basketball teaching structure.4 Strengthen and improve the teachers'technical training, improve their professional skills. Then prepare for the teaching jobs in new period.5 Being a basic PE teacher, he should pay attention to the study of basketball teaching and at the same time discuss the ways of basketball teaching reform and put forward the advisory opinions.6 The education authorities should have a full understanding of the NSEFC practical use, especially the difficulties and problems in basketball teaching.
