In order to promote the specialization of sports teacher, from the angle of view of psychology, this study refer to Career Identity Theory of Meyer, Allen, Smith and Work Engagement Theory of Schaufeli. The methods of Documentary, Questionnaire, Statistics, Interview and Logical Analysis are used in the combination with career characteristics of college sports teacher. Besides, a questionnaire of sports teacher's career identity in Zhejiang Province was made, which reveals the basic characteristic and predictable relationship of sports teacher's career identity in common colleges of Zhejiang Province. The conclusions from this study are as follows:(1) Sports teacher's career identity in common colleges of Zhejiang Province is a three-dimensional structure including career emotional profit, career power and career self-normative, which is worked out by a measure tool with a higher credibility and efficiency. (2) Sports teacher's career identity in common colleges of Zhejiang Province has some common characters:The overall level is medium. career power is highest while career emotional profit is lowest. There are also obvious differences in different genders and different phases of career development. (3) Sports teacher's Work Engagement in common colleges of Zhejiang Province has some common characters:The overall level is upper-medium. The activity is the highest while the concentration is the lowest. There are also obvious differences in different genders and different phases of career development. (4) Although Sports teacher's career identity in common colleges of Zhejiang Province provides a positive predication for work engagement. The career identity of sports teachers in different genders have level and structural differences in the prediction relationship to work engagement. The career identity of sports teachers in different phases of career development also have level and structural differences in the rediction relationship to work engagement.
