With the deep advance of quality-oriented education, and continuous reform and development of PE and health course, the guiding thought which includes cultivating students’hobbies, specialties, and health has formed in PE teachers’mind. The role of PE teachers has altered from scholar to researcher who combines PE education and health education better. It is career identity, teaching efficiency and work Satisfaction that determine whether PE teachers can improve teaching quality of secondary schools and the level of PE education of schools.The paper is to carry out a research on the relationship of career identity, teaching efficiency and work satisfaction by means of documentary and questionnaire survey through analysis of variance and regression. Besides, the paper is to reveal the relationship of the three items by leaning the characteristics and present situation of career identity, teaching efficiency and work satisfaction. Thirdly, the paper is to test 306 PE teachers from Shanghai, Beijing, Gansu, Ningxia and Xinjiang, adopting "Teachers’Teaching Efficiency Scale" written by Yu Guoliang, "The Questionnaire on PE Teachers’career identity" written by Zhou Ke, and "Minnesota Satisfaction Scale" written by Weiss from Minnesota Industrial Relations Center. The result of the research is as follwing:1. The relationship of secondary school PE teachers’career identity, teaching efficiency and work satisfaction shows significant positive correlation, and career identity plays a role of mediation between teaching efficiency and work satisfaction.2. Career identity of secondary school PE teachers is relatively high, and the five heights of career identity are value identity, capacity identity, contribution identity, emotion identity, and continue identity.3. Career identity of secondary school PE teachers doesn’t vary due to sex and professional title.4. Career identity of secondary school PE teachers doesn’t vary significantly duo to teaching age, but varies greatly in identity dimension. The tendency is that capacity identity rises with the increase of teaching age.5. Career identity of secondary school PE teachers varies significantly duo to the location of the schools. From the highest to the lowest of the level of career identity are county, village and town, provincial city and city.6.The overall teaching efficiency and general teaching efficiency are relatively high, but personal teaching efficiency is low, and lower than general efficiency.7. Teaching efficiency of secondary school PE teachers doesn’t vary significantly due to sex, teaching age, professional title, and location of the schools.8. Work satisfaction of secondary school PE teachers is above medium level, and the internal satisfaction is higher than outer satisfaction.9.Work satisfaction of secondary school PE teachers doesn’t vary significantly due to sex, teaching age and professional title.10.Work satisfaction of secondary school PE teachers varies significantly duo to the location of the schools. From highest to lowest of the level of overall work satisfaction and outer work satisfaction are county, village and town, provincial city and city.
