| Pressure on college entrance exam and competition for finding a job have become the issues that society, families and schools pay the most attention to. These pressures will be put on the students at middle schools. Burdensome study, college entrance exam and competitive employment situation result in the severe mental and physica pressures on the teenagers. Also, they cause the worsening of their physique,such as myopia, melancholia, obesity and so on. In terms of teenagers'health, All these documents show that our country has paid profund attention to teenagers'health.Teenagers represent the future of our country. Middle school is the key period for their physical and intelligent development. So it is during this period that our country put emphasis on the athletic sports for the students in order to deal with the problem that their physique has worsened. In reagards to the current situation of the athletic sports in Zhoukou, here, I will put forward suggestions as to the effective physical exercises for the students at middle school.My thesis is based on the following methods like Delphi technique, documentation method, questionnaire, mathematical, etc. The subjects for the investigation are 1600 middle school students and 80 PE teachers of 20 schools in Zhoukou. The conclusions are drawed as follows:1 Some school leaders and PE teachers are not well aware of the real meaning of athletic sports. As the survey reveals, nearly 35% of PE teachers don't realize the significance of athletic sports, almost 30% of PE teachers, who are not poor in the technical skills, have low degrees, and over 50% teachers are not content with their salaries, which leads to their lower initiatives for work.2 For recent years, our country and government have made funds aids for the PE teaching courts and devices. However, they are not adequate to meet the demand for the daily physical exercise of the students. On average, students just spend less than one hour on physical exercise every day.3 Athletic sport in Zhoukou is defficient in the scientific and coordinated management. The higher leading bodies put forward various kinds of the requirements of athletic sports, but the school leaders and PE teachers put them into practice in their own ways. Lacking in the proper management and direction, most students do the physical exercise spontaneously.4 The inadequate propaganda of athletic sports in Zhoukou results in failing to deveolp the self-consciousness for sports in the middle school students.5 The questionnaires show that the students'physical fitness has had various degrees of worsening after they enter the middle school.Base on the above analysis, it is high time for us to enforce the athletic sports.Advices and strategies:1 Changing ideas and perfecting management2 addressing propaganda and improving understanding for the teenagers'physical fitness3 enhancing the teachers'comprehensive quality and bringing their initiatives into play4 expaning funds input5 enforcing the organization and management of extracurricular activities6 reinforcing supervision on the implementation of athletic sports... |
