With the reform and opening of more than 30 years, private higher education has developed a lot, as an important part of higher education of China, but there are still many issues existing in most private colleges, such as the low management level and efficiency, which has not adapted to our country's current requirement of developing private higher education rapidly. Private higher education's better and faster development, to a certain extent, depends on the discretion of colleges' teaching quality. Improving teaching quality is largely due to teachers' job performances. So. in a sense, whether the students of private colleges can develop healthily and whether their quality and ability can meet the needs of the employing units have great relationships to teachers' job performances. Therefore, in order to promote the rapid development of private colleges, it is a key factor to train a pedagogic team of having solid politics quality, reasonable structure, excellent business skills and stable personnel.In order to improve teachers' overall quality quickly and comprehensively, it is necessary to carry on teachers' performance assessment scientifically and effectively to find their insufficient and urge them to improve continuously. But the current teacher's performance evaluation system, existing in our country, can not adapt to the development scale of private higher colleges and the objective requirements of the modern education's development regular completely. So. how to optimize or improve this kind of system is an important project faced by the human resources administration departments of private colleges. Based on the above background, this paper, combining with present situation of XX private College, analyzes the actual situation, the current problems and reasons of the performance appraisal based on the related theories of performance appraisal, and designed a set of performance evaluation scheme adapting to the development of this college on the guide of key performance indicates. This paper is divided into five chapters:the first chapter is introduction. This part mainly introduces the background and significance of the papers, the related literature summary, the content system, the research methods, innovative points and limitation; the second chapter analyzes the teacher performance appraisal situation and the reasons of XX private College. This part mainly includes the basic situation of XX private College, the present situation of this kind of performance evaluation and the current problems and reasons of the teachers'performance evaluation; The third chapter optimizes the original performance evaluation indicator system of XX private College. It mainly includes the optimizing optimum objective, design program, the choice of performance appraisal methods, the confirmation of examination cycle and assessment frequency, the design of performance evaluation indicator system, etc.; The fourth chapter proposes implementation guarantee of teachers'performance assessment system. It mainly includes the establishment of school performance management organization structure and the training intensity of performance management; definiteness of the purpose of performance management of this college and the basic principles; the establishment of an effective communication mechanism; the establishment of performance evaluation appeal system; the application of performance assessment result; the fifth chapter is the conclusion and the expectation of the future.
