Study On The Imbalance Of Sex Ratio At Birth From The Perspective Of Social Ecology

Along with the rapid development of Chinese economy and the strict performance of the family planning policy, the.birth rate of China has been gradually decreased in the past decades.But the sex ratio of Chinese total population has been gradually increased in the past two decades and it is more above the average level of the world and the level of many othe developing countries. From the datum of each National Census, we can learn that the sex ratio at birth of 1982 was 108.5 and it increased to 111.3 in 1990,119.9 in 2000, and it continuously increased to 121.2 in 2004. So we can say that the imbalance sex ratio at birth in China is very severe. For a enough large scale of population, the normal sex ratio is that the proportion of the female is bigger than the male, and the sex ratio at birth weighs heavily in the future sex ratio population. The imbalance sex ratio not only harms the girls'living rights,participating rights and developing rights, but also hinders the development of the productivity,advancement of the efficiency and the developmnet of the economy; harms the welfare of the society and total population, severly influenced the sustainable development of the China population and the society, causes the male marriage squeeze; and the direct victims of the imbalance sex ratio are not the women, it could be the men which gets to marriage age and lives in the poor coutryside, and these groups of male people are weaker in the marriage market. Marriages queeze challenges the stabilization of families and threatens the harmony of our society.The influence of such severe imbalance sex ratio of newborns of Chinese population has a deeply background of the social economy and culture. It not only caused the population strucre unreasonablely, but severly influenced the coordination of the social economy and the sustainable development of the society. Analysing the main reason the imbalance sex ratio of newborns of Chinese population and what deeply caused it would help us put forward to lay necessary public policy through the polical economy and the law as an effective solution to the imbalance sex ratio, thus minimizing the preference of Chinese people for gender and constructing the new parenting cultre and demograohy cultre of China. The increasingly going up sex ratio of newborns of Chinese population has caused the problem of social ecology of China apparently. For example, the phenomenon of marirage squeeze:the problem of marirage squeeze would become more seriously because of the such severe imbalance sex ratio of newborns of Chinese population. The continuous high value of the imbalance sex ratio, the loss of the female, the excess of the male would make a large proportion of male which get to marriage age cannot find the right miarriage partners in the future miarriage market, and make the marriage and the families unstablely and would also cause a lot of violence and divorced marriages and many other series of social problems such as the deterioration of physiological and mental conditions of the unmarried people, addition of illegitimate children, the problem of the unmarried old people in future, the addition of prostitution and sex violience and conducts of trafficing in women and many other social problems.This does not only help the advancement of the women status and the development of the women,but also deteriorate the environment of social ecology, and not help the stabilization of the population^ the families and the society and not help the coordination and sustainable development of the society.The imbalance sex ratio at birth in China has not only caught much attention of the govenment and the society, for it influences the stragtegies of the stabilization and safety of the society in the future, and it is also the problem of the development of some other countries and areas confront, and the problem of the international safety and the development of mankind in the future. This paper makes an effort from the perspective of social ecology to analyze the root cause of the imbalance sex ratio at birth in China through another point of view, after all the population of China is the first in the world and whether the environment of our social ecology develops contiously and coordinately or not influences the whole world. The addition of a new point of view makes us get a new height and makes us think the problem more comprehensively.The thinking way of this paper:First state the present situation of the sex ratio at birth in China; then analyze the cause of the increasingly going up sex ratio of newborns of Chinese population through parenting culre,economy,science technology and fertility policy, and find the serious social problems; Finally put forward measures and advice response to it. This paper analyzes the present situation reason and root cause of the increasingly going up sex ratio of newborns of Chinese population, and asks about the serious results of the imbalance sex ratio; and provides the policy through parenting cultre,the law and the rule,Rural old-age support security system,demography policy and discusses how to keep normal sex ratio of newborns and balance of social ecology, thus give help to policy decision and study of the government and some departments related, increasingly going up sex ratio of newborns of Chinese population has caused the problem of social ecology of China apparently.
