| Gratitude-expressing is the traditional virtue of Chinese and an important part of moral education in colleges and universities. It's the basic principle of moral and code of conduct that every Chinese should abide by. To strengthen the gratitude-expressing education for college students is of great significance to further enhance their ethical standards and to build a harmonious society. Because of the negative effect of the radical changes of the current national and international situation and the negative effect of the deeper development of socialist market economy, some of the "80" and "90" college students confront the shock of western thoughts and value and lack of gratitude and social responsibility. The reports of college students' ingratitude are often in the media. Having been concerned about their lack of gratitude and bad acts of gratitude, people question the gratitude-expressing education in college and call for strengthening the gratitude-expressing education in college. Therefore, it's urgent to strengthen the gratitude-expressing education in college.Gratitude-expressing education is of great theoretical significance to enrich the educational theory and guide the college students'educational practice. It is also good for promoting the Chinese culture heritage to establish modern gratitude-expressing concept and for improving the college students'moral quality to promote their overall development. It is of great practical significance to strengthen their interpersonal harmony for building a harmonious socialist society.As the sate and colleges and universities come to realize the importance of gratitude-expressing education, many scholars enhance their research and have made some achievements. For the researches is still at the initial stage, most of these researches only analyze the existing problems on educational objects and study some factor or some problem in the gratitude-expressing education. It's not systematic and comprehensive to study many other factors and doesn't form the agreed conclusion. It's very necessary to do further research on gratitude-expressing education for the need of building a harmonious socialist society and improving the college students'moral standards.This thesis starts with the connotation of education and gratitude-expressing education. Through the questionnaires to investigate the effectiveness, emphasis, goals, ways and means of content of gratitude-expressing education, and the educational function of environment in five colleges and universities in Guangxi, the author analyzes the problems of the current gratitude-expressing education and makes a rational analysis of the reasons. Finally, the author puts forward the countermeasures, from approaches of changing concepts, making clear the objectives, perfecting content system, understanding and mastering the principles, mastering and applying the methods, and opening up multiple ways of education:curricular and extracurricular. The gratitude-expressing environment should be improved from the six aspects:society, school, family, community, peer group and network. There are five parts in the thesis.The first part is the introduction. It mainly explains the purpose, the theoretical and practical meaning, the current status and thoughts of the research.The second part presents the concept of gratitude-expressing education and the theoretical foundation of the research. In the thesis, the author proposes the concept of gratitude-expressing and gratitude-expressing education on the basis of understanding the ancient and modern gratitude-expressing and gratitude-expressing education home and abroad. The author also sorts out the gratitude-expressing theory of the major schools in western countries and taps on educational ideas in the Chinese traditional cultures and the gratitude-expressing theories and doctrines in Marxism.The third part illustrates the significance of carrying out the gratitude-expressing education. It does the research of carrying out the education, in the current environment, to improve the college students'moral quality level and to inherit Chinese traditional cultures. It's of great significance to establish the modern gratitude-expressing ideas and to promote the harmonious socialist society.In the fourth part, with the combination of the current situation in the domestic colleges and universities, the author carries out the survey in five colleges and universities in Guangxi. The content of the survey includes the goals, the emphasis degree, the effect, the content, the method and the environment of the gratitude-expressing education. It comes to the conclusions that, some colleges are realizing the importance and some colleges don't have the clear goal; The level of college students' gratitude-expressing has increased, but the effectiveness in college is not ideal; the gratitude-expressing activities in colleges increase, but the content is poor and the ways and methods are not scientific; the country pays great attention to the ideological and moral education, but pays less attention to the gratitude-expressing education. On the basis of the rational analysis of the existing problems, the author believes the causes are students are in their psychologically and ideologically maturing stage; the improper leading concept comes from the family education; some colleges and universities over-pursue the graduate's employment and pay insufficient attention to the students' moral quality training; the negative impact caused by the social transition and market economy.In the fifth part, the author put forward the countermeasures of strengthening and improving gratitude-expressing education. The education should be strengthened and improved from the six aspects:changing concept and paying more attention to the education; mastering the principles of education; improving the education content system; mastering and utilizing the method of education; opening up multiple ways of education inside and outside campus; optimizing the external environment of gratitude-expressing education.The innovation of this thesis is:in approach, by the reference of the mature theories of gratitude in Western, tapping on educational ideas in the Chinese traditional cultures and the gratitude-expressing theories and doctrines in Marxism to better guide the gratitude-expressing education; in content, putting forward the countermeasures of strengthening and improving gratitude-expressing education for college students in a more systemic and comprehensive way.Through this study, the author hopes it can enhance the effectiveness of college students' gratitude-expressing education and provide certain reference value to colleges' gratitude-expressing education theory and practice, and make a contribution to building the harmonious campus in colleges and universities in Guangxi. |
