General Secondary School Academic Performance And Strategy Research

Under the current situation of the education reform, the numerous and complicated administration system in average middle schools will have to face new challenges, however not all the managements and educational workers have realized the importance and scientificity of the system, hence it has not been explored deeply and thoroughly. This research mainly focuses on defining the administration of average middle schools, describing its position, analyzing the factors and exploring the strategies to improve its efficiency in the hope of helping to enhance the overall school efficiency at some extent.The research paper has five chapters. The first chapter, summary, talks about the background of this topic and the current situation of school administrations internationally, and gives the overview of the research strategy and concept of this paper. The second chapter goes through the relevant concepts of the efficiency of administration and management and analyzes the common factors impacting the efficiency of administration, including both subjective and objective factors, and management factors as well.The third chapter comprehensively describes the existing problems of school administration among average middle schools in Nanjing based on the result from surveys and interview, such as the beaurucracy of organization structure, rigid management, uneven quality of people and lacking of modernized methods. The fourth chapter, based on the problems and factors mentioned previously, to improve the efficiency of school administration, we proposes exploring the flattened organization structure and applying scientific administrative process reengineering deepening. The last chapter concludes that improving the school administration not only relies on the internal orgnization reform, but also on the reform of the overall educational system, and it will be a gradualy advanced process. Meanwhile it also brings up some thinking around the problems in school administration, such as "people oriented", "professionalization of the administrators" and etc. It also points out the limit of the research and some future works.
