Study On The Influence Of Network On Adolescent Socialization In Small Town

The development of internet is a revolutionary technological breakthrough on the history of mankind. It profoundly influences and changes our society, times, and history, beyond the limitation which human society and individual spirit can afford. The deterrence and influence of internet are beyond our imagination. It compresses human beings'living space infinitely and challenges the traditional values about space and time. Meanwhile, it establishes a new kind of life mode in internet times. Internet comes into young generation's life just like a tempest. Facing the unexpected net world, teenagers don't know what to do with it and how to do properly. When internet brings us various conveniences, lots of social harms also initiate subsequently, especially influences the teenagers who are in the process of socialization.From 1990s, many scholars begin focus on the study of relationships between network and human's socialization. Problems involved in the study are general, various and even the conclusions are totally different. My study subjects in this thesis are teenagers in small towns. This thesis uses empirical method and tries to discuss the content and degree of network's influence on teenagers'socialization concretely and objectively, and then tries to find out the countermeasures.This thesis has six parts. It mainly analyzes five aspects about the influences of network on teenagers'socialization that live in small towns, including values, communication modes, role playing, social norms and life skills.The specific conclusions of this study can be classified into these following points:1,The outstanding feature is that they use network mainly for entertainment, especially chat, amusement and playing games which become the three mainstreams in their network life.2,There is a high relevance between the degree of network's influence on teenagers'socialization and the factors of family and individual.3,Influences of network on their social interaction in reality aren't obvious. There is no gap to a great extent between interaction in reality and internet.4,Network has a negative influence on their values which lead to a weakening trend on their political values and moral values to some of them. However, most of the teenagers still have moral self-discipline.5,For now, network's negative influences on teenagers of small town are not so common. It presents a good social state in general.6,The influences of network is long-term and continuous, so we can predict that with the time going on, they will be affected more seriously.7,Mobile phone as a mainstream media will onto the stage of their life.
