The research of modern psychology confirmed that emotional quality is the most important way of achieving success and happiness. As our fresh combatants of Socialist Modernization Construction, The health and growth of the college students are directly related to the future and development of our country. The nowadays society need human resources owning both more knowledge and higher quality of the harmonious development of body and mind to adapt to the society. In the modern period, the scientific development view possesses the foremost strategic thought of training strategy of human resources, requiring basically enhancing the education of emotional quality of contemporary college students, which belongs to the implementing the strategy of building up the strength of the country with talented people, to executing quality education and to the important means to promote the harmonious development completely.The situation of emotional quality of modern college students is far from optimistic. Many phenomena such as suicide or murdering spread all over the campus because of the low emotional quality. Based on a thorough investigation, the thesis analyzes and generalizes that college students do better in their own sense of subject and self-inspiration has greatly improved, but absent in emotional control and realizing others'emotion, intercourse, and anti-distress ability. Then the thesis analyzes the causes of the situation in view of family, college, society and personality.With the scientific development view, the paper obeys these following combining relationships, the subjectivity and interaction, systematization and approximation, creativity and actual effect. The systematic and scientific study is based on the philosophy, psychology, pedagogy and sociology. The real practice of an education relies on the inner and outer factors whose combination can bring about good effects. In the outer factors, family education is the basis, school education is the key, society education is fundamental and self education is the core. In all, only condensing all powers can we improve the EQ of contemporary college students and boost the comprehensive, balanced and sustainable development of their qualities.
