With the sustained development of society, private higher education is becoming an important part of modern education system. The construction of teachers in private higher education will largely affect its education quality. Therefore, teacher performance management is especially important to private higher education. As a private IT college DR is making an active probe on teacher performance management. However, due to short development history, performance management in this college is still at the exploration stage. Author of this thesis thinks private colleges have to combine their actual condition and design their own teacher performance management to improve the reform and development of education. After the study on theories, researches, interviews, and analysis on background, this thesis achieves the following results:(1) Based on some related theories and study at home and abroad, this thesis combines the goals and actual situation of DR College, and carries on a detailed analysis on its existing performance management, and then discusses the its merits and demerits.(2) This thesis tries to design performance management regulations suitable for DR College, which may arouse teachers'enthusiasm and improve the level and quality of its education.(3) This thesis studies on the enhancement of leaders'consciousness, improvement of administration and management system and construction of organizational culture, and furthermore suggests improving supporting measures to guarantee the operation of teacher performance management.On the study of performance management in DR College, this thesis also analyzes the some deficiencies of teacher performance management existing in private colleges in recent years, such as, stress on performance appraisal while neglect of its management, not enough attention to practice teaching, cloudy appraisal proceedings, no feedback of appraisal results, etc. This thesis can be referenced to the reform and development of performance management in private higher education.
