A Research On Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Ideological And Political Education For Students In Higher Vocational Colleges

Most of higher vocational colleges in our country have not grown for a long time, but they have evolved rapidly in quantity and scale. Qualities, ages, resources, psychological conditions and nurturing targets of students in higher vocational colleges are rather different from those in middle professional schools and universities, so former managerial modes in middle professional schools and the reproduction of those in universities can not meet the demands of new situation. More emphasis has been put on quantities of students, application of technologies and skill training rather than on qualities and political education for students in higher vocational colleges.The specialized research papers of ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges are not comprehensive and deep, one issue is that the released papers are huge in quantity but poor in good quality, the other issue is that not so many researches are on the theoretical politics lessons even if they are the main channel to carry out the education. Another issue is that no scientific solution has been worked out although some people have researched the problems of teaching staff of political education and analyzed the current situations, such as specialization of the staff, younger ages, instability, unreasonable major structure, irrational operating mechanism and managerial system. There are no proper solutions to improve the efficiency of political education in higher vocational colleges.Under the guidance of Marxism, this paper has comprehensively and deeply researched current situations and posed countermeasures of political education for students in higher vocational colleges through the means of documentary research, cross-subject research and social survey.The paper first illustrates the developing conditions of higher vocational education, ideological and political education and current situations of students in higher vocational colleges and then takes Anhui Business Vocational College for example to reason. It has analyzed and summarized the ideological features and factors of students with questionnaires and put forward the countermeasures according to previous successful experience and practice. Engaged in political education and management, the author has ever acted as full-time political counselor and mentor. Having teaching political situational lessons for a long period, the author chooses to research the current situations of ideological and political education. Through the collection of relevant information, the author has came up with feasible countermeasures which are beneficial to strengthen and improve the political education and provide favorable environment for students to grow and make contributions to colleges and society.
