Being easy to operate, the two typical teaching modes, namely, transfer accept type teaching mode and inquiry-based learning teaching mode, are widely used in high school art appreciation teaching by classroom teachers. The integration of multimedia and high school art appreciation makes the two teaching modes more vigorous, but at the same time, it exposes some problems of them.Through the interpretation of the concepts and the implementation process of transfer accept type teaching mode and inquiry-based learning teaching mode, as well as the analysis of corresponding teaching cases, the paper aims to explore out two teaching pattern of the features, advantages and limitations, and teaching process in a series of multimedia application.Finally, through the comparative analysis of the two typical teaching modes, the paper concludes that there are some problems that should be paid special attention to in the application of them, and these problems include:noting man-machine relationship, the timing and manners of using multimedia and so on. The author hopes that her study of this subject will give help to the high school art appreciation teaching under multimedia environment.
