It goes without saying that education is of tremendous significance. Politics course in middle high school is one of the important means to which we can resort when it comes to educate people. Thus how to enhance the quality of educating people and cultivate students to be someone with high political and ideological awareness must place great importance on teachers'professional development. Not only is the emphasis on professional development of middle high school teachers demanded by education reform policy, but teachers, themselves, need it to fulfill self-realization. The professional development of high school politics teachers combines educators'development closely with students.Based on politics course in middle high school, this essay explores the backdrop of politics teacher's professional development and also has a preliminary study on the connotation and feature of professional development. It tries to build up a quality structure of professional development, regarding politics teachers as someone with profound professional basis, all-round professional capability and deep professional belief. This essay, by means of survey research and reference method, tries to comprehend the current situation within teachers'professional development progress, based on which continues to analyze the setbacks standing in the way of a better professional development. In addition to the social status, salary, training mechanism for teachers, evaluation mechanism, traditional teacher culture and some other exterior elements, the professional development of politics teachers in high school is also susceptible to means-rational, value-rational, professional basis, teachers'professional satisfaction degree and self-development consciousness. By analysing both exterior and interior factors, this essay put forward counter-measures against middle high school politics-course teachers' professional development chiefly from the following four ways:First, it is important to cultivate teachers'self-development awareness in order to voluntarily find different ways of enhancing themselves. Second, by resorting to self-evaluation, developmental evaluation and archive-bag evaluation, evaluation mechanisms for high school politics-course teachers'professional development will be enhanced. Third, encouraging teachers'positive value on their career, cultivating study-oriented teaching atmosphere and constructing cooperative teaching culture are effective methods in promoting politics-course teachers' development of their career. Finally, positive social moral atmosphere and better education training mechanism also provide a good platform for high school politics-course teachers to enhance their profession.
